Job description

Estimator (In-Office)
Location: Central NC (in-office daily)
Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 + full benefits
Overview
A growing commercial contractor is looking for an Estimator to join their team in Central NC. This role is heavily involved in design-build work and requires someone who can take ownership of the estimating process from initial concept through final bid.
You will work directly with leadership and play a key role in shaping project direction through accurate cost analysis and value engineering.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings/specifications
  • Develop conceptual budgets and refine estimates as projects progress
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
  • Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and scope development
  • Assist in preparing complete bid packages and proposals
Requirements
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Experience with both conceptual and hard bid estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
  • Proficiency with Excel and estimating software
  • Ability to work full-time in-office in Star, NC
