Pledge Insurance Advisors, a Farmers Mutual Hail (FMH) company, is looking to hire an Insurance Producer to identify and develop new business opportunities for personal, commercial, and/or agricultural insurance products.  This Insurance Producer will also be responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. 

As an Independent Contractor Insurance Producer at FMH/Pledge, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for personal, commercial, and/or agricultural insurance products, including building and maintaining client relationships. to enable America's farmers to clothe, feed, and fuel the world.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: Would like at least 3 years of producer experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Will train for the right candidate. Proven track record of success in insurance sales and maintaining a book of business is highly desirable.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Agriculture, Business, or related field preferred. 

Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office programs especially Word and Excel. Experience with agency management systems, specifically Applied Epic, is highly desired, but will train.

Licenses or Certifications: Property & Casualty Insurance license required to have in place before start date. Training materials and study guides available upon request. Having an Excess and Surplus License and/or a Crop Insurance license is a plus. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for prospecting, soliciting, quoting, and selling new business. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities for personal, commercial, or agricultural insurance products through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation techniques.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with existing clients in the personal, commercial, and agricultural insurance areas to ensure their ongoing insurance needs are met.
  • Analyzes client insurance needs and provides customized insurance solutions that meets their unique requirements for personal, commercial, and agricultural insurance.
  • Prepares and presents insurance proposals and coverage comparisons to clients in the personal, commercial, and agricultural areas, \making professional recommendations.
  • Stays current on industry trends and changes in insurance policies and regulations for personal, commercial, and agricultural insurance.
  • Collaborates with customer success team to ensure client satisfaction and maximizes business opportunities in the personal, commercial, and agricultural insurance areas.
  • Meets or exceeds sales and retention targets and goals for personal, commercial, and agricultural insurance products.
