These jobs can be found in various industries such as retail, banking, insurance, logistics, and e-commerce. Common commerce roles include accountants, financial analysts, marketing managers, sales executives, and business development professionals. A background in commerce can open doors to diverse career opportunities in the private and public sectors.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a commerce role?

To thrive in a commerce role, you typically need a solid understanding of business principles, financial analysis, and market trends, often supported by a degree in commerce, business, or finance. Experience with accounting software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools such as Excel or SAP is common. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills help individuals excel in managing transactions and building business relationships. These skills ensure effective decision-making, efficient operations, and the ability to respond to dynamic market conditions.
