Command Center Operator-2nd Shift

Command Center Operator- 2nd Shift

Thursday-Sunday (1PM-9PM) 

$16.54/Hr.

Role:

Security Engineers is seeking dependable Command Center Operators to support safe and secure environments for our clients. Operators monitor critical security systems, dispatch emergency responses, process alerts, handle communications, and enforce site policies. This position requires strong multitasking, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm while managing multiple security functions simultaneously. 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Valid Security Officer/Guard License or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

 Key Responsibilities: 

Command Center Operations
  • Dispatch fire, medical, chemical, and traffic incident responses.
  • Answer associate calls regarding lateness or absences and update internal systems.
  • Respond to duress alarms and acknowledge card access alerts.
  • Control and document access to client property.
  • Prevent loss or damage due to fire, equipment issues, or safety hazards.
  • Issue Hot Work and Confined Space permits.
  • Enforce client rules, regulations, and access requirements.
  • Operate multiple software platforms concurrently.
Patrol and Surveillance
  • Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols to identify and report hazards.
  • Monitor access points and verify proper identification.
  • Review camera systems and surveillance feeds for suspicious activity.
Incident Response and Reporting
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies following protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and communications.
  • Perform routine tasks such as unlocking/locking doors and monitoring equipment.
Customer Service and Policy Enforcement
  • Assist visitors and employees professionally.
  • Enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with SEI and client policies, including parking, smoking, and loitering rules.

Required Skills and Abilities 

  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm during critical situations.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets and multiple software systems.
  • Strong multitasking ability.

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements (may vary by client) 

  • Ability to stand or sit for at least 1 hour without a break.
  • Walk at least 1/2 mile without stopping.
  • Climb 20 commercial stairs without stopping.

Education and Experience 

Minimum: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: 

  • 1+ year of Military, Law Enforcement, or Security experience.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
