Capture Manager, Business Development - Level 5
What You Will Be Doing
The selected candidate will provide strategy and business development support to Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Joint All Domain Command and Control efforts. Activities encompass the full breadth of business development from the earliest shaping of significant emerging opportunities like multi-domain command and control through the keep sold. Additionally, these effort entail expansion into the international market to address the National Defense Strategy desire to strengthen our closest allies and partners.
This key role is capture manager for Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Joint All-Domain Command & Control (JADC2). Will support the Director, ABMS and the ADP ASBD team with developing and deploying the Aeronautics strategy for ABMS and JADC2. Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with multiple external customer and internal LM cross business area stakeholders. Will also be responsible for working with multiple Customers including RCO, ACC, COCOMs, USAF, USN and USA.
The selected candidate will communicate to customers and decision makers at all levels focusing on operational capability, cost of ownership benefits and needs/requirements. This individual will execute customer events and visits to communicate LM Aero specific messages and build relationships. Additionally, the selected candidate will execute the broad range of business development activities including market development, opportunity qualification, customer relationship management, decision mapping, competitive intelligence, customer analysis, competitor assessment, message and strategy development, written responses to requests for information (RFIs) and proposals etc.
This position does require domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capture strategy and business development efforts supporting Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Joint All-Domain Command & Control (JADC2) initiatives.
- Shape and qualify emerging opportunities from early market development through capture execution and "keep sold" activities.
- Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with Aeronautics priorities in multi-domain command and control capabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with key defense customers including RCO, ACC, COCOMs, USAF, USN, and USA while communicating operational value and mission capability.
- Coordinate across Lockheed Martin business areas and internal stakeholders to align pursuit strategies, resources, and messaging.
- Lead business development activities including market analysis, competitive intelligence, customer engagement events, and development of RFIs, proposals, and capture materials, with domestic and international travel as required.
