Job description

Professional Search Group OC is partnering with a growing and innovative IT organization in Orange County to identify a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-driven Operations Specialist. This individual will play a key role in supporting operational workflows with a strong emphasis on carrier management, telecommunications coordination, and project execution.


Professional Search Group OC is seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of tasks, and has a “go-getter” mentality. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with telecommunications carriers such as AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, or similar providers, and understand the operational lifecycle of carrier orders, account management, and issue resolution.


This position functions as a concierge service for carrier management, supporting sales and clients by managing telecom-related requests from initiation through completion, while ensuring a seamless customer and operational experience.



Operations Specialist Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for carrier management, overseeing telecom-related requests including orders, moves, adds, changes, disconnects, billing issues, escalations, and account maintenance
  • Receive and process orders from internal sales teams and manage them through full lifecycle completion with a high degree of accuracy and follow-through
  • Coordinate directly with telecommunications carriers (e.g., AT&T, Lumen, and similar providers) to ensure timely service implementation, issue resolution, and account support
  • Manage vendor and carrier relationships to support service delivery, contracts, and operational continuity
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, communication, and deliverables are met
  • Support core accounting and operational functions including expense reconciliation, commission tracking, variable billing, data entry, and accounts receivable/payable activities
  • Oversee monthly certificate renewals and service/support renewals to ensure compliance and uninterrupted operations
  • Coordinate facility-related operational needs including maintenance requests and internal communications
  • Maintain highly organized documentation, project tracking, reporting structures, and communication across teams
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes, improve systems, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Utilize technology and AI tools to improve workflows, organization, and productivity


Operations Specialist Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with telecommunications carriers, telecom operations, carrier account management, or IT/telecom service coordination strongly preferred
  • Experience working with carriers such as AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, Comcast, or similar providers highly desired
  • Project coordination or project management experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Self-starter with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong sense of ownership
  • Experience managing orders, billing inquiries, account maintenance, or vendor/carrier relationships preferred
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and comfort supporting billing, expense reconciliation, and reporting functions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment with shifting priorities
  • Openness to learning and utilizing AI tools and technology to improve operational performance
