Job Description

The Director of Controllership, SAP S/4 Transformation is a critical role for NBCUniversal’s SAP S4 HANA implementation, Project Keystone.  You will work with colleagues across the Global Finance and Technology organizations, playing an active role in our finance digital transformation from design to deployment. This role will support the Studios Group business line, serving as the business unit’s main point of contact and liaison.  In this role, you will align with your dedicated business unit leader(s) and team members on functional and data requirements and ensure business critical inputs are incorporated in the system design.  Additionally, NBCUniversal understands the need to fit to standard wherever possible, and this will cause a level of organizational change management for any aspect of our business. The ideal candidate will understand the business unit’s finance processes and business rules, be able to clearly articulate those, and act as a change agent in the business area.  

Here you can:

  • Provide strategic thinking and input based on subject matter expertise (SME) for next generation ERP Finance Solutions for master data, implementation, and process design for Studios Group.   
  • Interface with Studios Group finance, S/4 Core Team, business units, System Integrator (SI) and Operations & Technology to capture & analyze business processes, workflows, policies, tables, objects, master data elements, programs, transactions etc. related to the current ECC solution. 
  • Translate Studios Group business and reporting needs into fit‑to‑standard SAP S/4 business process and master data designs through active participation in workshops covering code block design, business process analysis, process re‑engineering, global templates, and value chain analysis. 
  • Build Studios Group stakeholder consensus ensuring understanding of, and agreement to S/4 core design principles and champion the solution being proposed.  
  • Drive and complete data validation and reconciliation deliverables across legacy ECC and SAP S/4 environments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and integrity of master and transactional data throughout the transformation lifecycle. 
  • Serve as a change agent to SAP S/4 transformation and assist business unit Finance teams with change management.  
  • Supports other duties and projects as assigned. 
Qualifications

Here you'll need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant areas.
  • 8+ years of experience in a finance role.
  • 5+ years of experience in the media industry, preferably in a Studios Group area(s).
  • 3+ years of professional work experience in an SAP ecosystem preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAP business processes (e.g., Accounts Payable, Record To Report, Order To Cash).
  • Solid understanding of agile project management and a record of accomplishment of on time delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to keep momentum and drive change. 
  • Experience in organizational change management.
  • Solution driven and results oriented.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills within functional and technical areas.
  • Ability to represent NBCU with third party implementers with a collaborative mindset.
  • A distinctive working knowledge of finance and data processes.
