MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Combat Systems Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC.  This is a part-time, hybrid position requiring 20 to 29 hours per week, with on-site presence required on an ad-hoc basis

The engineer in this role will support the New Combat Systems Management Team, focusing on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) new business development combat system engineering efforts. Reporting directly to the New Business Case Manager, this position provides day-to-day support to the new CS development team within PEO IWS 4.0. Key responsibilities include managing technical and acquisition support for future Combat System computer programs and associated hardware

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Requirements review to help improve CDRL oversight/quality

  • Provide high-quality program management and systems engineering support to US DOD international assistance and cooperative development programs with a strong background in (FMS) Navy programs.

  • Will support in designing, implementing, and executing all phases of international programs, from concept development through combat management system requirements and definition.

  • Capable of managing multiple FMS portfolio/programs providing technical and programmatic support related to management, design, development and integration of complex weapons systems architectures.

  • Manage multiple programs independently, as required by the government FMS program manager.

  • Up to 10% travel, including both CONUS and OCONUS travel

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education

  • 10+ years of experience in U.S. Navy combat system engineering role

  • USN AEGIS or LCS Combat Systems experience

  • Familiarity with FMS and its international policies and processes

  • FMS experience related to combat system engineering

  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid passport

Preferred Qualifications: .

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline

  • FMS experience, as related to case management and acquisition

Clearance Requirements:

  • US citizenship required and an active or current Secret clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00.
