Job Purpose:
- The Conditioning Seed Mill Operator at Columbia Grain International LLC is responsible for overseeing the operation of seed conditioning equipment to ensure the efficient processing and quality of agricultural seeds. This role is crucial in supporting the company's mission to deliver high-quality grain and seed products to the market, contributing to the agricultural supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor seed conditioning equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Inspect and test seeds for quality control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
- Document and report operational data, including production metrics and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and implement best practices in seed conditioning operations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management, including tracking seed quantities and coordinating with logistics for timely distribution.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in seed conditioning.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in seed conditioning or related agricultural operations.
- Previous experience operating and maintaining seed milling equipment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of seed conditioning processes and techniques.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot seed milling machinery efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures within an agricultural setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and reporting to supervisors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping purposes.
