Summary:

As an industrial painter, your responsibilities and duties may include preparing the surface to bind to the paint you will apply, applying paint in the desired color and amount, often using specialized spaying equipment, ensuring the quality of the job is up to company standards, and cleaning up your work area and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare parts for painting, ensuring proper surface treatment
  • Conduct intermediate preventative maintenance on blast equipment
  • Manage blast booth loading while keep paperwork organized
  • Accurately reads, interprets, and matches tags on parts to the corresponding job
  • Intermediate understanding of routers, instructions from prints, time reporting, and logs
  • Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Mix paint, clean equipment, and utilize manometers effectively
  • Apply enamel paints correctly with little to no rework required after 6 months
  • Assist with down stacking or order auditing as needed
  • Correctly replace filters in all booths
  • Operate pressure pots and utilize D cups appropriately
  • Use Conventional HVLP equipment efficiently
  • Apply primer to parts with precision and adherence to standards
  • Stage parts correctly for paint booths to ensure an efficient workflow
  • Other duties as assigned
