What is a color technologist?

Color technologists are specialists who work with the application, measurement, and reproduction of color in various products and manufacturing processes. They ensure colors are consistent, vibrant, and meet industry standards in items such as textiles, paints, plastics, and packaging. Their work involves both scientific analysis and practical testing, collaborating with designers, engineers, and manufacturers. Color technologists also help solve problems related to color matching and fastness, making sure products look the way consumers expect. They often use advanced instruments to assess color quality and work to improve color-related processes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a color technologist?

To thrive as a Color Technologist, you need a solid background in color science, chemistry, and materials technology, often supported by a degree in chemistry, textile technology, or a related field.
