Job Requirements
The Paint Associate is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience by providing expert knowledge and consultation within the paint department. This role involves assisting customers with product selection, offering tailored solutions, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked department.
  • Provide world-class customer service by actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending the right products.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant by offering expert advice on paint types, finishes, tools, adhesives, caulks, and decorative techniques.
  • Assist customers with project planning, including accurate product selection, pricing, and application guidance.
  • Manufacture and tint paint, ensuring precise color matching.
  • Offer expertise in industrial coatings and alternative applications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized paint department, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
  • Utilize store communication technology (Theatro) and wear the assigned headset.
  • Suggest complementary products to enhance customer purchases.
  • Assist in training and developing team members in the paint department.
  • Support general store operations, including cashiering, stocking, and inventory control.

Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of Retail Experience or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in retail paint sales or professional painting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint and paint color matching preferred.
  • Weekend Availability Required.
  • Positive and professional personality.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check if driving is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks such as standing, reaching, and bending.
