We have an exceptional opportunity for a:

PrePress Manager

Responsibilities Include:

  • Workflow Management: Direct,      schedule, and prioritize print projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Quality Control: Review digital      files for errors, including font, image resolution, and color accuracy.
  • Technical Oversight: Manage the      plate-making process, color management, and prepress equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and      supervise prepress technicians and operators.
  • Customer/Internal      Liaison: Communicate with sales, customer service, and production      teams to resolve artwork issues and clarify specifications. 


Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Seeking an individual with 3+ years experience in direct mail/print production.

· Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Pitstop/Neo, MS Office, and Acrobat workflows. 

· Must have the ability to translate Mac and PC In Design/Creative Cloud projects into Quadient (GMC) Inspire workflows.

· Must be comfortable with advanced layouts with variable and transactional data.

· Must have working knowledge of printed products and processes. 

· Knowledge of pre-flighting files and trapping process work is key.

· Capable of creating a workable WFD file from a complex InDesign project, and an InDesign file that is not only full of moving parts, but may involve conventional printing as well.

· Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational and multi-tasking skills. 

· Must be able to work with customers, understand instructions, enter orders and traffic multiple projects simultaneously. 

· Must be able to recognize and balance client needs for quality, schedule/on time delivery and budget.

Enhanced Qualifications:

· Experience in Direct Mail, digital and offset printing production.

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design,      print technology, or a related field is often preferred but not always      required if extensive experience is present.
