Job description

Security Guard

Battle Motors prides itself on delivering efficient, effective solutions for the heavy-duty work truck industry. With the evolution of our new EV (Electric Vehicle) technology, we are growing faster than ever. At Battle Motors, we believe the most fulfilling place to work is where extraordinary people collaborate to solve difficult problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Mans the guard house during scheduled shift, observing and reporting any unsafe or unusual activity, ensuring the safety of the property, employees and guests to the facility
  • Understands and implements emergency response activities as required
  • Keeps accurate log of anyone who enters or exits the property without a parking pass
  • Signs in guests and notifies reception or the employee host of their arrival; provides excellent customer service and direction
  • Reports any incidents; contacts the proper authorities when required
  • Explains safety precautions as applicable; takes temperatures, collects health safety and completes other safety-related tasks as assigned
  • Accepts mail and other deliveries, routes to appropriate employee(s)
  • Walks through the facility at the beginning and/or end of shift as assigned
  • Opens or closes the facility according to the current operating hours; sets main property gate, locks or unlocks facility doors
  • Completes basic administrative support tasks as assigned
  • Operate surveillance and badge security system as needed
  • Recognizes the Quality Management System (QMS) in place at BM and participates in the processes and procedures in the QMS
  • Other duties as assigned
  • **This position has both a full-time and a part-time opening**

This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
