Job Responsibilities
Job Description
The Security Floor Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Security and Security Manager in managing security operations; and, ensuring the safety of all guests, employees and company assets inside the facility as well as on the facility grounds.
The Security Floor Manager is responsible for managing team members and directing daily operations, exercising independent judgment in staffing, scheduling, performance management, and enforcement of company policies. The Manager serves as a representative of management, spends the majority of time on supervisory and decision-making responsibilities, and provides input into hiring, discipline, and other employment actions that are given significant weight.
License Level: This is a key level position.
Essential Duties/Core Competencies
  • Supervise, lead and direct Security Team Leads and Security Officers, ensuring all regulatory compliance with all gaming regulations, internal controls and company and department policies and procedures.
  • Assist with oversite of company-wide key controls throughout the property.
  • Conduct daily roll calls and training to communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
  • Supervise subordinate security professionals, performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and administers disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure employees are trained to work safely and efficiently within current regulatory guidelines.
  • Evaluate shift schedules and adjust, if necessary, to accommodate Resorts World operational and departmental needs.
  • Detents persons for probable cause for the purpose of notifying the proper authorities.
  • Ensure the integrity of gambling, count room and cash handling procedures.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit essential paperwork and reports.
  • Conduct property inspection tours.
  • Attend Fire Safety and NYS Guard Instructor courses.
  • Report all gaming violations, internal control, company and departmental policy and procedural violations.
  • Transport employees, guests via company vehicle as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work/Educational Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field
    • OR Two (2) years' experience in a Security Supervisor position or equivalent
    • OR Two (2) years' management experience in the hiring position's Department
  • Five (5) years' related work experience in a Security setting required
  • Three (3) years' related experience in Casino Security setting preferred
  • Demonstrated a working knowledge of state gaming regulations pertaining to casino operations
  • Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests. Fluency in English required. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:
Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
