Job description

Guard II - Supervisor | First & Second Shifts Serves as the working shift supervisor for the Vendor guard force at Redstone Arsenal. Directs Security Guard I personnel during assigned shifts under the oversight of Acuity's Site Supervisor(s) and Project Manager; ensures 100% post coverage, post-order compliance, readiness, and reporting; and performs all Guard I access-control duties as required. The Guard II is the first line of accountability for shift performance, conduct, and incident response.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All Security Guard I duties, plus: Direct and supervise the guard force during assigned shifts under Acuity site oversight; manage a shift of eight or more guards across multiple gates and posts Conduct guard mount/shift briefings; verify fitness for duty, uniform and equipment condition, license/credential currency, and post assignments before posting Ensure 100% coverage of required posts for the entire shift; execute the relief plan and adjust assignments to cover absences without uncovered posts; notify Company management and Acuity immediately of coverage risks Supervise execution of post orders, RAMP measures, inspections, and access-control standards; conduct documented post checks throughout the shift Take charge of incident response on shift: direct immediate actions, ensure notifications within required timelines (verbal notice within 5 minutes for reportable incidents), preserve scenes, and coordinate with DES, law enforcement, and emergency services Review and approve guard incident and daily reports for accuracy and completeness before end of shift; prepare supervisory reports and shift logs Ensure use-of-force compliance; document and report any use of force immediately through Company and Acuity channels Support internal quality control integrated with Acuity's QC program; identify deficiencies, take containment action immediately, and support written corrective action Coach, train, and evaluate assigned guards; conduct on-shift remedial training and document performance issues; recommend personnel actions to Company management Track training, license, medical, PAT, and credential currency for assigned personnel; flag expirations before they lapse Maintain accountability of shift equipment, keys, radios, and Government-furnished property; report loss or damage immediately Enforce standards of conduct and appearance; remove personnel from post when directed by Acuity or the Government and implement qualified replacement coverage Maintain 24/7 reachability expectations for shift-management coordination as assigned; escalate to the Company 24/7 management POC as required Refer any Government direction that would change scope, price, staffing, or schedule to Acuity/Company management - do not accept directly ****This position is contingent upon award**** Pay Rate: $24.00 HourlyMinimum Qualifications All Security Guard I minimum qualifications, plus: Three (3) or more years of security operations, law-enforcement, or military experience, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience Demonstrated ability to manage a shift of eight guards across multiple posts Access-control and force-protection experience on a military installation, Federal facility, or comparable critical-infrastructure site Strong written communication for supervisory reports, logs, and corrective-action documentation If Government NIPR/e-mail access is determined necessary: ability to favorably complete a Tier 1 investigation for a Common Access Card (CAC); otherwise-authorized duties may be performed while the CAC is pending Preferred Qualifications Prior DASG, DoD contract guard, or Army civilian police/security guard (AR 190-56) supervisory experience Formal supervisory or leadership training (military NCO/PO leadership courses, FLETC, or equivalent) Experience with quality-control programs, CBA-free SCLS workforces, or contract guard mobilizations Instructor or field-training-officer credentials (may support Company training delivery) Physical and Medical Requirements (Essential Functions) Identical to Security Guard I: medical examination and AR 190-56 PAT (19 push-ups/2 min; 1.5-mile run/17:30) before assignment and annually; full essential-function capability including all-weather outdoor duty in approximately 30 pounds of equipment. Supervisory duties do not reduce physical requirements - the Guard II must be capable of performing and demonstrating every guard task. Conditions of Employment Identical to Security Guard I, plus: favorable Tier 1 investigation if CAC/system access is required; supervisory performance is subject to Acuity site oversight; removal-from-duty directives from Acuity or the Government must be executed immediately
