Based in New York City, our firm is composed of engineers,technologists, environmental scientists, construction professionals, and consultants who are passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.
About the Role
EnTech is seeking a full-time VDC Engineer – Laser Scanning Technician for a hands-on, on-site role focused on field scanning, scan processing, and coordination within the AEC industry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform on-site 3D laser scanning using Faro, Leica, and NavVis scanners.
  • Process, register, and QA/QC scan data.
  • Coordinate scan data with survey, BIM, and design models.
  • Assist with scanning work plans, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Support project delivery while meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Research and implement new scanning technologies and workflows.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Opportunity to expand into Revit modeling and VDC coordination

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing laser scanning or reality capture work.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related AEC field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk ReCap, Faro Scene, Leica Cyclone, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong Revit and Navisworks experience
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments.
  • Ability to work on-site at active project locations.
  • ​​​​​​​Interest or experience in aerial drone and aerial photography is a strong plus.

Location:
Queens, NY (This is an on-site position requiring regular field work at active project and construction sites)
Estimated Annual Compensation:
$75,000 – $90,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
