Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead shop operations and drive performance at our collision repair facility. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production, ensuring high-quality repair standards, managing staff performance, and achieving location revenue and operational KPIs.

This role manages both front-of-shop and back-of-shop operations, ensuring efficient vehicle flow from intake through delivery while maintaining exceptional customer service and team performance.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Meet or exceed location revenue goals and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Manage shop operations from vehicle intake through delivery to maximize production efficiency and throughput

  • Oversee daily production workflow and ensure timely vehicle completion

Production & Workflow Oversight
  • Assign repair jobs to Body Technicians and prioritize vehicles for tear down and paint

  • Communicate daily with Body Technicians, Estimators, and Parts Managers to maintain production flow

  • Monitor shop output and ensure repairs meet company quality standards

Customer & Estimate Support
  • Assist teammates during peak periods by greeting customers, checking in vehicles, and writing estimates when necessary

  • Prepare and finalize DRP complaint estimates after full disassembly and damage discovery

  • Update and lock final estimates as needed

Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all repairs meet Crash Champions and I-CAR quality standards

  • Verify all repairs are accurately billed and documented

  • Maintain back-of-shop safety protocols and proper use of PPE

Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, interview, and hire qualified teammates for open positions

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Payroll & Staffing
  • Manage production staff timekeeping and flag-hour procedures

  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time

  • Oversee PTO, vacation scheduling, and staffing coverage


Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the collision repair industry

  • Understanding of insurance procedures and carrier requirements
