ABOUT THE ROLE

Murray's Collision Group has been part of the Puget Sound community since 1984. We are a family owned company with multiple locations across the greater Seattle area, known for quality repairs, a strong shop culture, and taking care of our team.

Our Des Moines location is our busiest shop and a designated Tesla-certified repair center. We are looking for a Production Manager who can keep vehicles moving efficiently through every stage of repair while holding the line on quality, cycle time, and gross profit. You will lead a team of body and paint technicians, work closely with estimators and parts, and be the driving force behind a well run, organized shop floor.

WHAT WE OFFER

- Life insurance available
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- 401(k) with 2% company match
- The opportunity to lead production at our highest volume, Tesla-certified location

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Manage the daily production schedule so vehicles move efficiently through disassembly, body repair, paint, reassembly, and final detail
- Monitor cycle time, RO hours per day, touch time, and gross profit, and take corrective action when targets are not being met
- Assign and prioritize work among technicians based on skill set, certification, and current workload
- Run daily production meetings to review vehicle status, identify bottlenecks, and communicate priorities
- Ensure every repair follows OEM procedures, manufacturer certification requirements, and internal quality standards
- Partner with estimators on supplements, parts status, and blueprint or repair plan discrepancies
- Coordinate with the parts department to keep parts ordering, receiving, and staging on track
- Perform quality control inspections at key repair stages and before final delivery
- Manage technician performance, including training, coaching, scheduling, and documentation, alongside the General Manager and HR
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop floor in compliance with OSHA requirements
- Communicate directly with customer service staff and customers on repair status and completion dates when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Two to five years of experience in collision repair production, with prior supervisory or lead technician experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of collision repair procedures, OEM standards, and shop management software such as CCC ONE or Mitchell
- I-CAR certification required, platinum or gold class standing preferred
- Proven ability to read and manage a production schedule and interpret repair plans, estimates, and supplements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
