Position Description:

Schumacher Automotive Group in North Palm Beach is seeking a Collision Center Manager who will plan and implement the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI's and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible for coaching and empowering each team member's performance and success in their individual roles. The Collision Center Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers and plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer's experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members and is always committed to leading by example.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and implement the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI's and insurance metrics are      met.
  • Establish long-term and short-term goals to ensure shop is successful.
  • Lead the collision shop team by ensuring estimating and sales targets objectives are met.
  • Communicate performance objectives to all personnel.
  • Identify, establish and monitora financial performance goals for the shop including sales growth and gross profit on labor,    parts, paint & materials.
  • Control overhead expenses and assist in the management of receivables.
  • Set standards and develop action plans to facilitate improvement of business performance and standards for quality, customer service and satisfaction, promotional efforts, and employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage the retention of personnel as needed to achieve objectives and maintain the long-term health of the business.
  • Continually improve the skill level of all personnel by facilitating training opportunities and on-the-job skills enhancement.
  • Manage the primary relationships with outside entities including insurers, vendors, major customers, and the community.
  • Proactively manage the customer service and quality assurance levels of the business.
  • Direct the repair process to achieve repair quality standards, consistent priorities, and high productivity.
  • Reviews supplemental damage with technicians and insurance adjusters.
  • Quality inspects work assignments randomly and frequently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility.
  • Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
  • Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adheres to dress code.
  • Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.
  • Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards.
  • Manage store capacity.
  • Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.
  • Attend operations meetings and provide updates on KPI frequently.
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role
  • Required Skills/Abilities
  • 3+ years managing a team required
  • Good knowledge of the insurance claims process.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is required.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experience.
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.

All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to qualify for employment. Pre-Employment testing includes a successful background check and drug testing.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day Shift

Education/Requirements:

  • Post secondary education or equivalent. 
  • Certification in collision repair or related field is a plus.
  • 5+ years leading a collision or repair shop department required.
