Summary:
This position is in the Department of Social Sciences. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. The rank and tenure-status of the position is negotiable based on qualifications. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a broad range of classes from introductory freshmen courses in world and American history to specialized upper division courses.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach at least four (4) classes per semester.
- Advise students.
- Participate in the department, college, and university's activities including recruitment and new course development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements (including years of experience, certifications, licenses, etc.):
- Master's degree in history.
- At least 1 to 3 years of teaching experience at the college level.
- Highly desirable that candidates be familiar with innovative teaching and advising techniques and best practices in pedagogy.
