COLLEGE ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE, 25 hours per week

WVJC is seeking a motivated professional to join our college admissions team as an Admissions Representative.
Our admissions representatives work very closely with potential students, offering a personal enrollment experience. We seek individuals who will work well as part of a dynamic team while focusing on individual goals. A successful admissions representative will have excellent relationship-building skills, efficient time management, and solid computer skills.
Part-Time, opportunities for remote work but would be expected to go to local career fairs, high schools, etc. on occassion.
Responsibilities
  • Admissions Representatives serve as the first point of contact for potential students expressing interest in one of WVJC's programs.
  • Make contact with an adequate number of prospective students who inquire about the Institution and/or
    its programs.
  • Schedule adequate number of interviews with qualified prospects.
  • Conduct an adequate number of effective and accurate presentations to qualified prospects about the
    Institutions programs, services and other benefits
  • Effectively and accurately communicate to prospective students the expectations of the
    Institution/Program and the commitments they are making
  • Answer questions that applicants have about Applications for Admissions and Enrollment Paperwork.
  • Maintain regular communication with enrolled students to ensure a smooth and supported transition
    through new student orientation and the first several weeks of classes.
  • Communicate with faculty and administration to receive feedback on individual students previously
    recruited to assist retention and future recruitments.
  • Personally generate an adequate number of inquiries (through referrals, community activities, etc.) to
    supplement inquiries provided by Institution. This includes promoting the Institution in the community,
    developing sources of qualified prospects, making presentations to groups, etc.
  • Generally, take every opportunity to promote student morale and confidence in the Institution, and the
    community's view of the Institution.
  • Effectively manage inquiry databases
  • Maintain accurate and legible notes and records
  • Maintain accurate reporting and summit in a timely manner as required.

  • Keep apprised of and abide by all Federal and State Regulations and accrediting criteria as pertains to the duties and responsibilities of this position

  • Maintain the highest ethical standard and adhere to the Recruitment and Admissions Personnel Code of Conduct, without deviation

Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • MUST have proven ability to follow a structured process with multiple steps and advanced activity tracking
  • MUST have solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Meets, etc), Zoom, Social Media, and more
  • Strong customer service and relationship skills are essential
  • Excellent time management skills are required
  • Must be driven and motivated to meet and exceed goals and expectations
  • Must be flexible and available to students outside of regular work hours when needed
  • Important note: This is a sales/customer service/phone position. Applicants must be comfortable with goals, metrics tracking, and time on the phone.
