The Opportunity

H-Wave is looking for a motivated and skilled Collections Representative to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment. As an H-Wave Collections Representative, you'll be responsible for negotiating settlements and managing outstanding balances by engaging with adjusters, attorneys, and lien representatives. This role offers the opportunity to build and maintain strong professional relationships while playing a key part in the company's success.

The Job

  • Administer collections according to required policies and procedures and develop/cultivate strong relationships with all customers and payors
  • Review explanation of reviews and benefits, and bill codes to ensure proper codes for payment
  • Regularly follow up on settlements and confirm payments are received
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state labor codes and guidelines including Laws governing collection efforts for durable medical equipment (H-Wave) and continuing education workshops to gain more skills yearly
  • Delivers excellent customer service and meets the needs of all our customers while executing high volumes of calls

Requirements

Requirements

  • Must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday
  • One or more years of collections and customer service experience
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with web applications and databases
  • An outgoing and positive personality who is eager to learn 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
