Job description

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Security Manager to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10). In this role, you will provide comprehensive security support to the Senior Security and Information Management Specialist for HQ USAF/A10. This support encompasses the development and implementation of multi-disciplinary security programs, facility accreditation, training, and incident response to protect all classified and Controlled Unclassified Information.

The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives.

This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

  • Provide Security Program Development and Management Support. Assist in the development, implementation, and integration of multi-dimensional security programs, including Information, Personnel, Industrial, Physical, SCI, and Special Access Programs.
    • Identify and propose solutions to ensure program success. Draft security program documentation and implementation plans.  Form action plans and recommendations for process improvement.
  • Support Facility Accreditation and COMSEC Management. Perform activities to support the continued accreditation of SCIF and collateral storage facilities. Assist in the management of the COMSEC program and associated equipment.
    • Accomplish accreditation support packages for SCIF and collateral facilities.
    • Draft documentation for JWICS account creation requests.
    • Draft COMSEC program management support documentation.
  • Execute Security Training, Inspections, and Incident Response. Develop and conduct security training for all personnel. Perform annual self-inspections and assist in the evaluation of all security incidents.
    • Complete a suite of security education and awareness training materials.
    • Review annual Self-Inspection Reports.
    • Draft Security Incident Reports with recommended corrective actions.

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen 
Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and be able to maintain it
Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: Master's degree
Years of Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience
