IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital | Indianapolis, Indiana

IndyVet is a 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital with a longstanding reputation for providing exceptional patient care and outstanding service to the veterinary community. Our 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility is home to specialists in Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, and Surgery, creating a highly collaborative environment where complex cases are managed through a true team approach.

About Our Oncology Service

Medical Oncology is already a well-established and highly respected specialty service at IndyVet. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are excited to expand our Oncology team by adding an additional Medical Oncologist. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a thriving service with an established referral base, collaborative colleagues, and the resources needed to provide exceptional patient care from day one.

Our Medical Oncology service is centered on delivering compassionate, patient-focused cancer care that prioritizes quality of life. We partner closely with referring veterinarians and pet families to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Our oncology team provides a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options, including:

  • Comprehensive cancer diagnostics
  • Advanced imaging, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and digital radiography
  • Histopathology and molecular diagnostics
  • Chemotherapy administered in a dedicated treatment area with a biologic safety cabinet
  • Targeted therapies
  • Immunotherapy
  • Palliative and supportive care
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary case management with our Internal Medicine and Surgery services

This is an excellent opportunity for an oncologist who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine in a collaborative specialty environment while helping grow an already successful Oncology service and building lasting relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.

What We Offer

We recognize the value of our specialists and offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Competitive base salary plus production
  • Sign‑on bonus
  • Generous continuing education allowance
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Retirement savings options
  • Professional dues and licensing support
  • Paid time off
  • A schedule designed to promote work‑life balance
