Job description

Black River Design, Architects in Montpelier, VT is seeking a Designer/Draftsperson. This is a long-term career opportunity in a collegial, collaborative, design environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to take the initiative and work efficiently within project deadlines to create, review and coordinate design and construction documents.

A creative outlook, experience with CAD, strong communication skills, and hand sketching would be assets.

Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years of Architectural office experience preferred
  • Professional degree or diploma preferred
  • Commitment to sustainable design and design excellence
  • Strong attention to details, organization, and accuracy
  • Experience with commercial construction detailing preferred
  • Experience drafting construction documents and specifications
  • Familiarity with coordinating consultant drawings
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills
  • Positive and collaborative attitude
