Role Summary

Are you a natural problem-solver who thrives in challenging situations? TBK Bank is looking for a AVP, Consumer Collections Team Lead to guide our team in managing delinquent consumer loan accounts. This role is perfect for someone who can balance empathy with results, build strong relationships, and keep a cool head under pressure while ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Day in the Life

As the Team Lead, you'll spend your days guiding a team of skilled professionals, working directly with customers to resolve past-due balances, and helping recover loan assets. You'll play a key role in shaping strategies, mentoring team members, and ensuring our collections process runs smoothly and effectively.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and support the Consumer Accounts Resolution team
  • Work directly with customers to collect payments and resolve delinquencies
  • Review collateral and recovery options to determine next steps
  • Recommend accounts for collection services or charge-off
  • Use skip-tracing tools to locate debtors and collateral
  • Maintain accurate and detailed communication logs
  • Prepare and review delinquency letters and notices
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, laws, and regulations
  • Partner with the Special Assets Group on complex cases when needed
  • Provide coaching, training, and process improvement recommendations to your team
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 5+ years of consumer collections experience (required)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Comfortable navigating difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with great attention to detail

Salary Range: $63,935.00 - $78,959.00 - $93,983.00 USD Annual
