Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary:

Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking Godโ€™s wisdom as we search for a Christ following, dynamic, and gifted individual to join our incredible staff. The primary role of an SAS Coach is to facilitate the learning process and provide intervention for students with learning differences in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Christian education at Cole Valley Christian Schools.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual instruction for students based on student strengths and weaknesses and provide learning intervention for core subjects.
  • Model and explicitly teaches age-appropriate executive function skills, academic and other skills, as lined out in student plan.
  • Integrate Biblical truths and the Christian philosophy of education throughout sessions with students.
  • Implement student educational plans to meet individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Employ a variety of intervention methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting stated goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to provide services to meet studentsโ€™ needs and goals.
  • Assess the performance and measure the growth of the studentโ€™s individualized Student Success Plan.
  • Participate in Parent Teacher Conferences with studentโ€™s teacher team.
  • Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain proper discipline and order in the classroom and on the school premises.
  • Employ discipline with grace, truth and love.
  • Keep students, parents and administration adequately informed of learning progress and deficiencies.
  • Partner with parents by communicating concerns, progress, and supportive resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others.
  • A passion for teaching core subjects (language arts and math) to a wide variety of abilities and grades in a small group setting.
  • Working knowledge of best practices and a desire to gain further training in helping students that may have significant learning differences and/or cognitive weaknesses.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience working with students demonstrating understanding of age-appropriate social, emotional, physical, and academic challenges.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with students in a professional capacity preferred.


Spiritual Qualifications:

  • Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.
  • Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church.
  • Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.
  • Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.
  • Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.


Job Data:

  • Hours: Full-time at 187 contract days.
  • Salary: Starts at 16,000 per year. Actual salary depends upon experience.
  • Benefits: Eligible for health, life, disability and retirement plan.
  • Tuition Discount: 50% discount on tuition. Does not include fees.
  • Start Date: August 4, 2026
