Now Hiring: Forklift Operator – Cold Storage Facility in Modesto

Hire Up Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a full-time position at a cold storage warehouse in Modesto. This is a great opportunity to join a reliable team with long-term potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries
  • Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, railcars, trucks, and docks
  • Utilize clamp, slip sheet, high reach, and railcar forklifts
  • Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including staying within marked walkways
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in a 38°F cold storage environment
  • Report any concerns or unsafe conditions immediately

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of proven experience with forklift operations, especially clamp, slip, and railcar equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in cold storage (38°F) – dress appropriately for winter-like conditions (must basically have snow attire to wear everyday)
  • Clean driving record may be required
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check
  • High attention to safety and detail
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances accurately
