Position SummaryThe Packaging Specialist is responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and preparing materials for shipment or storage while maintaining inventory accuracy and following company quality and safety standards.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPackage, label, and prepare materials for shipment or inventory using weighing, measuring, and counting methods.Verify part numbers, quantities, and labels to ensure accuracy.Perform inspection, tagging, banding, boxing, and cleaning of materials in accordance with ISO procedures.Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move and store materials.Complete required documentation, including work orders, job tracking, and inventory records.Maintain accurate inventory through proper handling of paperwork and inventory tags.Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report maintenance needs.Monitor packaging materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Education and Experience Required:High school diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years of warehouse experiencePreferred Education, Experience, and Skills:Forklift certificationExperience with inventory control and packaging processesAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic mathBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood organizational and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skillsAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 75 lbs for extended periodsAbility to work extended shifts as neededAbility to work in varying warehouse and manufacturing conditions (hot, cold, humid, and confined spaces)Ability to safely operate equipment and perform repetitive physical tasks
