Job description

The essential function of warehouse supervisor is to oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities such as receiving and storing goods, managing inventory levels, ensuring the efficient delivery of goods, supervising staff, and securing the warehouse.

Functions and Responsibilities:ย ย ย 

  • Maintaining and ensuring the safety of all employees through training, enforcement of rules and compliance with all Fresh Mark Inc. policies and proceduresย ย 
  • Maintaining a sound working relationship with bargaining unit employees ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Driving departmental efficiencies and maximizing productivityย ย 
  • Monitoring and controlling inventoryย ย 
  • Assuring effective communications with staff, interdepartmental and interplant personnel and managementย ย 
  • Controlling labor costs through effective workforce utilizationย ย 
  • Monitoring machinery to maintain productivity and efficienciesย ย 
  • Monitoring product quality and flow to meet customer demands and requirementsย ย 
  • Promoting and maintaining teamwork among employeesย ย 
  • Conduct safety and department meetings for your staffย ย ย 

ย Requirements:ย ย 

  • 8-10 years of warehouse experience or a bachelorโ€™s degreeย ย 
  • Ambition to personally develop and quickly learn new processesย ย 
  • Ability to work with and provide leadership to hourly personnelย ย 
  • Ability to work any shift and both weekend and daily overtime as requiredย ย 
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environmentย 
  • Overall strong computer skills.ย  Ability to learn Warehouse management system and be efficient in using Excel spreadsheets
