Job Summary

The Expo (Expediter/Food Runner) serves as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring accurate, well-presented, and timely delivery of every order. This role supports food assembly, ticket organization, guest interaction, and order accuracy while maintaining strong communication with both BOH and FOH teams.

This is a fast-paced position requiring focus, urgency, multitasking, and professionalism under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all food meets company standards for quality, accuracy, and presentation

Assemble, garnish, and finalize plates prior to delivery

Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain efficient service flow

Run food to guests and assist with guest questions when necessary

Support kiosk and POS order entry when needed

Clearly communicate dietary restrictions, modifications, and allergen information

Maintain a clean, organized expo station and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness

Uphold food safety and sanitation standards

Assist during catering and high-volume service periods

Rotate stock and verify freshness of food and ingredients

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Food safety certification preferred

Previous restaurant experience preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Clear English communication required; Spanish a plus

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
