Job description

Structural Steel Painter/Loader

Pay: $24-26/hr.

Shift: Mon-Fri (6am to 4:30pm) with optional Saturday OT

Description:

The Painter/Load is mainly responsible for painting and preparing structural steel and assisting with loading and unloading steel from trucks as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience painting and using paint sprayers to apply paint
  • Must have experience with overhead crane
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors
  • Works in compliance with company's safety policies and procedures
  • Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment
  • Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours
  • Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties:

  • Prep and paint structural steel
  • Operate forklift as needed
  • Perform rigging work to move materials as requires
  • Load and unload steel from trucks
  • Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop
