Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Employee operates production machinery such as hot and cold bending machines that may be grouped together as a unit (cell) or stand alone to produce a finished product and or a raw material for another machine. Employee may operate more than one machine within a work cell in order to produce this product or raw material.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure that the machine is in safe working order
  • Ensure that the raw material (stock) is correct and meets quality standards
  • Set up- setting the machine according to exact specifications to produce the part
  • Operating the machine in accordance with operational, quality and safety specifications
  • Perform required quality checks during operation
  • Perform routine maintenance checks
  • Perform housekeeping duties as required
  • Meet production standards as set by management
  • Run entire cell/area or multiple machines as a machine operator.
  • Attend work on a regular and predictable basis
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness
  • Uphold company policies, including the anti-harassment program
  • Work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, co-workers, customers and the public
  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior
  • Work effectively and efficiently under production deadlines

Machine Operators normally work 8 hour shifts; either 1st or 2nd shift with a five day work week. Some overtime may be required in order to meet production demands

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Experience:

Six months to one year as machine operator

Necessary Skills:

Ability to read and interpret measuring devices such as micrometers, tape measures, vernier calipers

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Ability to operate computer programmable machinery

Basic high school math skills

Verbal and written communications skills to high school level- English primary language

Ability to operate lift devices such as hoists and overhead cranes

Work in a constant state of alertness

Regular and predictable attendance

Work cooperatively with co-workers
