Collins Aerospace is looking for a Design for Manufacturing Engineer  review circuit card assemblies and engineering designs to ensure compliance with internal, industry, and contractual standards, while coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and improve design robustness and manufacturability. May also support tool testing and debugging.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform reviews on circuit card assemblies to ensure design rules are being followed.

  • Coordinates with Engineering, designers, and manufacturing for clarifications of the changes being requested.

  • Provide design solutions to help resolve findings and ensure robust design.

  • Review Engineering models, and drawing prints, received from electrical Engineering and other technical support personnel for compliance to internal and external industry standards.

  • Applies Company, Industry, and Contractual standards during the review of circuit card design and documentation data.

  • Applies knowledge of manufacturing and producibility capabilities during to ensure effective design.

  • May be requested to assist with tool support team in testing and debugging of software tools.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience   

  • Experience in electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in SMD line support.

  • Experience using a PDM (Enovia).

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with team members across different departments.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions even when complete information is not available.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
