Are you ready to help shape the future of travel and hospitality at the new Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy? Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Barista to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Your efforts significantly influence the unique and distinctive experiences we seek to deliver to our guests and team members alike. Responsibilities
  • Greet our guests, providing excellent customer service for our guests as defined by outlet standards, taking orders, making quality beverage items to order, handling cash transactions.
  • Provide in a perfectly poured and timely manner all coffee, tea, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages on the menu.
  • Share your knowledge and recommendations of the food & beverage menus to our guests.
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
  • Genuine care about beverage standards.
  • Daily stocking and cleaning.
  • Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
  • Contribute to positive team environment by recognizing issues, proactively working to resolve them, and communicating them to your restaurant manager.
  • Deliver distinctively different and authentic experiences to all guests by acting with a customer-comes-first attitude.
  • Commitment to above-par sanitation of the store and the work environment.
  • Utilize the freedom to go above and beyond and take initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty.

Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must possess valid Food Handler's card upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
