THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2026 SEASON (APRIL THROUGH EARLY NOVEMBER)

Lead the Team Behind Mackinac Island’s Most Welcoming Coffee Experiences

At Mission Point Resort, our coffee shops are vibrant gathering spaces where guests start their mornings, recharge throughout the day, and enjoy warm, friendly service. As Mackinac Island’s only full-service, casually elegant resort, we are seeking a dedicated and service-driven Coffee Shops Manager to lead daily café operations and ensure our guests enjoy exceptional beverages, efficient service, and inviting atmospheres.


About the Role

The Coffee Shops Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Mission Point Resort’s coffee outlets, ensuring smooth service, consistent product quality, and an engaging guest experience. This hands-on leadership role includes supervising baristas, managing inventory, overseeing training, ensuring café cleanliness and efficiency, and upholding brand and service standards.

This position is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced hospitality environments, enjoys cultivating a welcoming café culture, and leads with professionalism, warmth, and strong operational skillslets.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 1–2 years in coffee shop, café, or food & beverage operations; prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
  • Coffee Knowledge: Experience with espresso machines, beverage prep, and café workflows
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, support, and coach a diverse team
  • Service Focus: Strong understanding of guest service, café operations, and hospitality standards
  • Professional Traits: Dependable, organized, energetic, and able to thrive under pressure
  • Communication: Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Team Environment: Comfortable leading in a multicultural workplace with professionalism and respect
  • Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season
