Compensation:

Base pay is $17.50 per hour.  

*In addition to base pay, our team members also receive tips averaging approximately $4.00 per hour. Although tips can vary and are not guaranteed, our amazing guests regularly reward our team with generous gratuities for the great service and Buzz Life energy we bring every day.  Actual amounts may differ based on location, hours worked, quality of service, and guest discretion.   Average tips reflect 2025 reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Better Buzz experience through fast, friendly, and genuine service
  • Be knowledgeable about our coffee, tea, food, and specialty drinks
  • Prepare and serve beverages and food consistently following recipe standards
  • Work all cafe positions - our baristas are cross-trained and adaptable - including working in our kitchens to make food to order
  • Help run and administer a smooth schedule for breaks, meal period and shifts
  • Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work, and special tasks
  • Lead all shift duties as directed by the manager on duty
  • Lead store cleanliness and safety - always ready for guests and teammates
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team
  • Responsible for balancing and managing deposits
  • Active in inventory and waste management
  • Adhere to opening and closing duties checklist and procedures
  • Perform all other duties at the discretion of the store manager or other members of leadership
Qualifications
  • 1+ year experience in coffee, food service, or hospitality preferred
  • Previous fast paced coffee experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Drive-Thru experience is preferred 
  • Guest service focused, solution oriented
  • Passion for great coffee and exceptional guest service
  • Strong communicator with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Reliable, punctual, and available for nights, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must be available to work 28 hours/week including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to work a mixture of open, closes and mid-shifts as dictated by the business needs
