Job description

Title: Civil Project Engineer
Location: Morton, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $140K

Must have Skill Set: Vertical Building Construction

Overview:
Based in Morton, IL and is comprised of a team of professional engineers, structural engineers and architects that works exclusively within the post-frame frame industry. We work in a variety of project sectors including agricultural, commercial, industrial and residential.
Responsibilities:
· Review post frame building plans and provide certification for code compliance.
· Conduct engineering analysis and design using hand calculations and software engineering tools.
· Work in teams and collaborate with inter-disciplinary group of professionals responsible for projects and processes.
· Offer design and construction solutions that are cost effective.
· Direct the development of building structural plans by utilizing drafting/plan review personnel.
· Be an engineering and building code resource throughout the life cycle of a project; including pre-sale, design and construction.
Qualifications:
· Hold a Professional Engineering or Structural Engineer license in at least one state (with the ability to get licensed in other states) and with the ability to certify building structural plans.
· Strong background in the analysis and design of wood structures (preferred), concrete or metal structures as well as a working knowledge of the following codes and standards: IBC, ASCE 7, NDS, ACI and AISC.
· Must have excellent communication skills, a positive, outgoing attitude and work well in a team setting.
· Must be highly motivated, a self-starter, able to work independently and strive to meet project
