Job description

Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians for projects located in the Bakersfield, CA area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $33/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are an Electrician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!

Job Scope:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including EMT conduit, underground PVC, and pulling circuit wires
  • Layout, install, and connect fire alarm control panels, back boxes, smoke detectors, and notification appliances
  • Ensure all electrical and fire alarm installations comply strictly with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 72) standards
  • Troubleshoot, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and code compliance

Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial electrical work
  • Must have a strong, demonstrable understanding of current local fire alarm codes and NFPA 72 requirements
  • Must own basic electrical hand tools and cordless tools (including benders)
  • All PPE
