Role Responsibilities
  • The BCBA Clinical Supervisor (PRN) provides supervision, mentorship, and oversight to Behavior Analyst Interns completing supervised fieldwork requirements toward certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
  • The Clinical Supervisor ensures that supervision activities align with certification requirements, ethical standards, and best practices in applied behavior analysis. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for mentoring, training, and supervising Behavior Analyst Interns and/or Assistant Behavior Analyst Interns, ensuring compliance with certification requirements and professional standards while supporting the successful completion of supervised fieldwork hours.
  • The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision and mentorship to Behavior Analyst Interns and or Assistant Behavior Analyst Interns delivering behavior analytic services to individuals with autism and/or other individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related conditions, including clients who exhibit serious challenging behaviors.
  • The Clinical Supervisor provides the agreed-upon hours of in-person and remote supervision (typically at least 17 hours per month) and oversees interns in the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of behavior analytic treatment programs. Responsibilities include direct observation and performance feedback; training and coaching interns in parent, caregiver, and staff education; monitoring service quality; reviewing behavioral data and documentation; and supporting collaboration with multidisciplinary team members to promote effective client outcomes. Supervises interns with the support of on-site BCBAs.
  • This position supervises interns at agreed upon locations including short-term intensive residential treatment programs for clients ages 8–17, clinic settings providing focused or comprehensive intervention for children, and community-based settings providing long-term behavior support for teens and adults. All settings serve individuals with autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. The majority of supervision is provided in person; however, some supervision meetings may be conducted via secure video conferencing.


  • The Clinical Supervisor complies with the BACB's Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts as well as the Texana Business Code of Conduct. The BCBA Clinical Supervisor PRN is responsible for complying with all requirements outlined in the BACB BCBA or BCaBA Handbook as applicable and keep up with all updates from the BACB.

  • The Clinical Supervisor works directly for the Senior Manager of the assigned location.

Salary

  • $46.80 to $52.00 per hour depending on experience

Required Experience, Skills, Education and/or Certifications

  • Board certification (through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board) and Texas license or certification
  • Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis or with BACB required behavior analysis credits during degree completion
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities
  • Completed the Supervisor requirements of the BACB
  • Applicants should be well-versed in clinical technology as well as able to discuss and explain the technology using scientific and lay terms
  • Applicants should be able to communicate and interact professionally and positively with team members, caregivers, and clients
  • Applicants must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills




Job Related Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to perform SAMA (Texana’s crisis intervention program) and CPR.
  • Must be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting (15#- 45#), pushing, stooping, light carrying (15#), repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting, twisting, and running.
  • Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
  • Qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
