Job Summary:
At Vail Resorts, service is the foundation of everything we stand for. The Snow School Recruiting and Payroll Coordinator supports the onboarding, offboarding, and payroll administration processes for Snow School employees. Reporting to the Snow School Recruiting and Payroll – Senior Specialist, this role works closely with Snow School leadership to ensure a seamless employee experience from hire to departure. The coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining accurate employee data, supporting payroll processes, providing administrative support, and delivering exceptional service to both employees and leaders.

Job Specifications: 

  • Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2026/2027 
  • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation, system updates, and employee setup requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Enter and maintain daily instructor payroll, ensuring accuracy of hours worked, lesson assignments, pay codes, and timekeeping records while resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with payroll administration by reviewing employee data, auditing time and attendance records, and escalating discrepancies for resolution.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and leaders by responding to inquiries related to onboarding, payroll, and employment processes.
  • Utilize Vail Resorts systems, including but not limited to Workday, Paradox, Epic Employee, and other HR, onboarding, and payroll platforms, to support daily operations.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and fun team environment by building strong relationships with instructors and Snow School leadership while contributing to an exceptional employee experience.
  • Support Snow School operations and assist with staff events, recognition programs, meetings, and other departmental activities as required.


Job Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll administration, employee services, administrative support, or a related operational role.
  • Experience using business systems, including but not limited to Workday, Paradox, Epic Employee, and other HR, onboarding, and payroll platforms, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a passion for supporting employees and creating a positive, engaging team environment.
  • Flexible and team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with instructors and Snow School leadership while supporting operations, staff events, and departmental initiatives as needed.
