Located between Hope and Princeton, BC, Manning Park Resort is a four-season destination offering everything from alpine and Nordic skiing to year-round outdoor recreation. Whether it's making new friends, exploring the mountains, or unwinding after a day on the slopes, this is your chance to escape the city and live where you play.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and guest-focused Dual Snow School Instructor to join our team. If you're energetic, love working with people, and want to deliver exceptional guest experiences, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Instruct and coach guests of all ages and abilities to ski and snowboard within your instructor's certification level in a group or one-on-one setting.

  • Provide safe learning environments in all lessons.

  • Properly assess students of their ability and place them in the appropriate groups.

  • Set up and take down lesson equipment, crowd control measures, and snow-school signage.

  • Assist Ski School Supervisor in lesson planning.

  • Adherence and teaching of the Alpine Responsibility Code.

  • General on-hill tasks and maintenance as required, including maintaining the learning area features, terrain park, safe walkways, and other tasks as assigned.

  • Assisting ski patrol with various tasks as required

  • Assist guests with products & services in person, by phone, and by e-mail

  • Provide guests with accurate information regarding Alpine Services and Manning Park Resort.

  • Prepare guest orders of rental equipment, snow school lessons, and/or lift tickets, processing payments through the point-of-sale system.

  • Distributing pre-purchased rentals & tickets and registering Snow School participants.

  • Test and adjust the rental equipment to meet specific customer needs.

  • Tuning and repairs of guest's alpine equipment and rental equipment when required.

  • Lift operations and covering lift operators' breaks, including working as a lift operator, ticket checker, parking attendant, and tubing operator.

  • Maintain a safe & clean environment for guests and colleagues at all times, including cleaning washrooms, cleaning floors and keeping the Alpine Guest Services Building sanitized.

  • Shovelling snow and maintaining a clear and ice-free environment around the AGS Building.

  • Follow outlined policies to find solutions to guests' issues.

  • Assist in the marketing, promotion, and sales of Manning Park Resort products (ski school, group bookings, season passes and/or day tickets).

  • Other tasks as required.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Minimum level 1 or higher of Canadian-recognized Ski or Snowboard Instructor Certification or equivalent.

  • Dual certification (ski and snowboard) or have the skill set and willingness to obtain the other certification at the beginning of the season.

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Will be required to work weekends & holidays.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be approachable, dependable and a strong team player

  • Good physical condition; Able to work outdoors, in adverse weather conditions and perform manual labor

  • Previous knowledge of the ski hill is an asset

  • Previous lift operations or terrain park experience is an asset

  • A minimum of intermediate ski and snowboard ability

  • Knowledge of the Alpine Responsibility Code

  • A valid first aid certification is preferred

  • Must have own equipment
