Job description

Are you ready to join a FUN, ENERGETIC team? The Cedars at Broadwell has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Director. The purpose of this position is to manage multiple functions of building operations and maintenance for a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare building management and strong technical skills.

Responsibilities and Duties

FIRST!!! MUST BE PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CARE OF OUR RESIDENTS AND THEIR WELL BEING

  • Perform general and preventive maintenance and repair functions of building and equipment.

  • Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, sheet rock and electrical upkeep and emergency repairs and assist contractors to perform major repairs.

  • Conduct inspections on a regular basis for necessary upkeep and document findings.

  • Ensure that the facility is in compliance in all areas required by State and Federal regulations as well as meeting the Fire Marshall's requirements.

  • Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance such as fire alarm test, zone lines, sprinkler system, and safety surveys.

  • This position will be responsible for using the TELS program and keeping all logs, inspections and drills current and up to date.

  • Plans schedule based on current and projected needs per facility policy.

  • Maintain records or documentation per policies.

  • Respond to emergency calls.

Job Requirements/Skills

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate

  • Two years' experience in building maintenance

  • Mechanical skills

  • Knowledge of sanitation (housekeeping) and safety regulations

  • Basic computer skills

  • Able to multi-task and problem solve

  • Ability to work positively with others in a team environment

  • Must be familiar with NFPA and Life Safety codes

  • Sense of urgency

  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluently in English
