Job Summary
The Student Assistant will support the Department of Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Physics as a Teaching Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Responsibilities

• Assists instructor in the Studio Physics classroom with student questions
• Assists with grading and WebCT grade posting
• Maintains laboratory facilities and equipment
• Attends course lecture and lab

Shift Specifics

• Up to 6 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Need to be able to meet when the class meets

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Education

• Must have completed PHYS 2211 and 2212 with a grade of "B" or better

Proposed Salary
$15.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
