Senior Programmer Engineer Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Java-based applications, with a focus on extending Jira's capabilities.
  • Customize and enhance Jira plugins and integrations.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features in Jira.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira customizations and integrations.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Assist in unit testing and system integration efforts.
  • Contribute to technical documentation related to Jira customizations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in system design and architecture.
  • Advanced coding proficiencyin one or more languages such as Java, C++, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience using Jira or similar project management tools to manage development tasks and agile workflows.
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (plus).
