The work we do
Our field crews handle a wide mix, and we're especially interested in candidates with strong backgrounds in:
- Commercial construction - tenant improvements, ground-up, retail, hospitality, office, and light industrial
- Service and troubleshooting - diagnostics, repairs, retrofits, emergency calls, and ongoing maintenance accounts
We also perform underground work, gear and equipment installation, lighting retrofits, and controls. Experience across multiple project types is a strong plus.
Who we hire
We staff field crews across all experience levels and hire into the level that fits your background:
- Electrical Helper - entry-level; assists journeymen, material handling, layout support, learning the trade
- Electrician I - capable of independent task execution under supervision; conduit, terminations, rough-in
- Electrician II - experienced electrician working independently; complex installations, reads and works from plans
- Lead Electrician - runs a small crew, coordinates daily scope, interfaces with the general contractor and site leadership
What we look for
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to read and work from plans, specs, and single-line diagrams (level dependent)
- Working knowledge of the California Electrical Code
- Own hand tools appropriate to your level
- Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of field electrical work, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred - and worth telling us about
These aren't required, but they matter to us and may qualify you for premium pay or expanded opportunities:
- California Electrician Certification (General Electrician or Residential Electrician)
- Completed or in-progress apprenticeship / trade school
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Class A or Class B commercial driver's license
- Equipment operation - skid steer, mini excavator, tractor, trencher
- Underground and site utility experience
- Fire/life safety, controls, or low-voltage experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Physical requirements
Field electrical work requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods; lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; working from ladders, lifts, and scaffolding; and working outdoors in varying weather and in active construction environments.
