Position Overview

We are hiring a Technical Writer to support a client in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is a mid-level role focused on creating and maintaining technical documentation for software, systems, operations, and program support.

The ideal candidate has experience working with developers and technical teams to gather information, organize complex subject matter, and produce clear documentation, user guides, manuals, reports, briefings, and training materials for a wide range of audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, manuals, and technical publications.

  • Create code documentation and software-related technical documentation.

  • Gather technical information from developers, engineers, and subject matter experts.

  • Prepare written technical content for various types of program and project documents.

  • Maintain a current internal documentation library.

  • Use tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and other documentation/presentation tools.

  • Work with developers to produce high-quality documentation and training materials.

  • Support all phases of the documentation process, from research and drafting through review, editing, formatting, and final delivery.

  • Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to both technical and non-technical audiences.
