Red Ledges is a private, four-season luxury community, in a special setting near the foothills of Utah's amazing Wasatch Mountain range. It's minutes from Park City. It's a quick drive to Salt Lake's International airport connecting amazing golf, skiing, cinema, and adventures to those who travel the planet. And mostly though, it's home to a region where people love their surroundings and relish their time outdoors being active and alive.
Job Description
This position reports directly to the Greeter Services Manager and works closely with various Department Heads on a regular basis. The Red Ledges Neighborhood Watch position is tasked with providing a highly visible and responsive security element to our community.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and searches for ways to make a positive impact on the people around them. This person will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage difficult situations using great tact and empathy. This person will set and maintain the tone for their team. Negative attitude or gossip is never acceptable or tolerated from any team member.
Work Schedule
  • Work shifts 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday or as directed by your manager.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays - Flexible schedule, must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be able to adjust schedule to shifts, AM or PM as needed for Greeter Cottage time off requests
  • Company Vehicle - to be used only for company business

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General:
  • Maintain high visibility property patrol
    • It is important that a Red Ledges Security presence is highly visible at all times on property
  • Protocol followed at all times
  • Assure prompt and positive action on all resident complaints, questions, concerns, and suggestions, as well as conduct quality assurance follow-up
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the property as well as clean and organized work area
  • Ensure that daily administrative documentation is kept concise and complete at all times
  • Maintain all daily assigned equipment in functional and presentable condition
  • Respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Members, other Managers, or direct Supervisor
  • Complete various assignments as required
  • Submit daily reports in timely fashion
  • Create and use work order systems when/if necessary
  • Uniforms complete and worn properly
  • Project an approachable and professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor
  • Take pride and care in maintaining the office, all equipment used, and the Red Ledges vehicle
  • Provide courteous, efficient, and genuine service to everyone
  • Roadside trash removal.
    • While on patrol you are expected to stop often to pick up roadside trash
    • As weather allows you will be expected to get out of your vehicle and walk a stretch of roadside with trash bag and pick up any visible trash. Location of trash removal should be a high traffic visible to members area of your choice. The expectation is a minimum ½ hour of foot trash removal per shift.

Red Ledges Security/ Code Enforcement:
  • Inspect and observe all assigned areas of responsibility for suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, persons in need of assistance or any other unusual condition and effectively report all such incidents immediately
  • Continuous vehicle and foot patrol of Red Ledges Property
    • Report infractions to appropriate manager immediately and take action as directed
      • Parking on only one side of street
      • Deliveries are not blocking street in an unsafe manor
      • Construction site cleanliness
      • Noise complaints
    • Speed monitoring:
      • Radar signs - park near radar signs and monitor speed infractions
      • Radar gun - park in various locations throughout the day and monitor speed infractions
    • Area of concern monitoring:
      • From time to time we get complaints from owners - maintain high visibility in these areas as directed by Greeter Services Manager
    • Watch for any suspicious activity and possible trespass
      • If trespass is suspected kindly introduce yourself and ask if the person is a Red Ledges owner. If they are and can give you their address thank them and say it was nice to meet you, please enjoy your day. If they are not members kindly as their reason for visiting and escort them to their destination.
    • Architectural Committee Support
    • Community Association Support
      • Emergency Gate Inspection
        • Once per week inspect for proper function and report to
          • Greeter Services Manager, Club General Manager and Association Manager
        • Offer directions to visitors and guests as needed

Greeter Cottage Support:
  • Pick up trash from each Greeters Cottage daily and take to dumpster
  • Assist with team as directed by manager
    • Time spent in Individual greeters cottage is to be minimal to ensure majority of your day is on property conducting patrol
  • Minor member gate maintenance
    • Re-set gates as needed
    • Shovel snow build up behind gates as required to ensure proper opening space
  • Assist with events, projects, parking, signage, and other items as needed to help the Community, the Club, Sales, and our members

  • Be approachable, courteous, and professional in all member interactions.
  • Remain visible and proactive during patrols.
  • Report issues factually and without personal judgment.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding member activities and concerns.

  • Prioritize safety: if something feels wrong, document and report immediately.
  • Support community values: your role is as much about reassurance and service as it is about vigilance.

Optics and Perception
  • Remember: residents see you as a visible sign of security. Even small actions-opening a door, greeting a driver, slowing traffic-reinforce confidence.
  • Balance authority with hospitality: we are here to protect, but also to serve.

Qualifications:
  • Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to stay calm and cool during times of high pressure and/or stressful situations, including large volume events, challenging situations with a variety of people, impromptu needs of Membership, or Management, etc.
  • Must be able to successfully fulfill all duties as required by his/her staff
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends as necessary
