Job description

Summary Maintains grounds, highways, municipal and rural roads, and rights-of-way by performing the following duties under the supervision of the Senior Code Officer. Performing certain code compliance inspection duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Walks and/or drives vehicles to assigned route and picks up litter and debris.

Maintains the City right-of-way by removing litter and illegally dumped items. Regularly monitors areas known for illegal dumping. Drives truck and trailer to transport illegal dumping and equipment to worksite.

Removes debris caused from extreme weather conditions. Appropriately Disposes of litter and debris. Interacts with citizens and employees regarding problems/concerns and reports feedback to supervisor.

Performs additional general maintenance or grounds keeping activities as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned or required. Performs a variety of code compliance inspections including residential, commercial and industrial property and drive to and from destinations assigned by supervisor.

Removes illegal signs. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid State Class A (CDL) Driver's License; Driving is a requirement of this position.
